Veiled women beat up salon worker

FUJAIRAH — Fujairah Police have launched a large-scale hunt to track down two veiled women who allegedly beat up a Tunisian woman worker on Wednesday at a beauty salon after tying her up with tape.
The woman was found lying unconscious on the ground by an Emirati woman when she visited the salon. There were bruises on her body as a result of the beating.
The Emirati woman alerted the police who rushed to the scene and rescued the salon worker.
The two unidentified women, it is believed, assaulted the woman after they failed to find the salon manager against whom they apparently held some grudge.
In her statement, the Tunisian victim said that two women visited the salon in the afternoon asking for her manager, an Arab woman married to a UAE national.
She alleged that the two veiled women started fiddling with the drawers. Sensing some trouble, the victim tried to telephone someone but she was overpowered by the two women who beat her up and tied her hands and legs with tape. They later escaped.
The victim alleged that the two suspects ordered her to convey a message to the salon manager that she, too, would meet the same fate.
The police are also questioning the salon manager. Source
