Two jailed for human trafficking
The Dubai Court of First Instance yesterday sentenced two Indians, S., 34, and F., 36, to 10 years in jail, followed by deportation, on charges of human trafficking.
As per court records, the case unfolded in June last year when the accused forced M. and A. into flesh trade. They then offered to sell one of them for Dh9,000.
However, one of the victims escaped from the house they were detained in, and informed the police of their plight. A trap was set and one of the accused was apprehended red-handed while offering the women for sale to an undercover agent. The other accused is still at large. Source
