Two Emiratis charged over the kidnapping and sexual assault of boy

A new case of two Emirati men who kidnapped a 15-year-old Emirati schoolboy and had a forceful homosexual affair with him floated in a Dubai court on Wednesday morning.

During the hearing inside the Dubai Court of First Instance, the two suspects, a 22-year-old salesman and an 18-year-old student, denied having repeatedly had sex against the will of their compatriot schoolboy in different occasions and places in Dubai.

The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with luring the boy into their car, driving off to a sandy area where they had forceful sex with him.

They were also charged with threatening to beat and kill the victim and burn his house and scandalise him after having recorded what they did on a mobile phone camera.

Records said the suspects repeated their alleged crime with the schoolboy over different occasions and places in Dubai.

They denied their charges before Presiding Judge Fahmi Mounir.

It is the second case of its kind at Dubai Courts in recent months.

In December 2007, two adult Emiratis were sentenced to 15 years in jail each for committing a similar crime with a 16-year-old French boy.

This case differs with the fact that the alleged crime was repeated a number of times at different places. Source
